The State of Colorado and 7-Eleven stations are changing the way CBD consumers can access their favorite products. A CBD dispensing vending machine, aka robots, are being placed at Colorado 7-Elevens as of the first week in November.
The automation company creating and backing these high-tech vending machines is GreenboxRobotics.
The greenbox is the first of its kind being a fully automated kiosk for cannabis products. With the normalcy, immediate service and automation GreenboxRobotics believes your CBD purchase should benefit from this technology as well.
Just a few of the impressive aspects of the CBD Robot include facial recognition, temperature-controlled storage, music streaming, and payment processing among others. The robots are already located at ERBA Markets in Los Angeles and cater to medicinal and recreational users alike.
Is age verified? This is a perfectly reasonable question. Greenbox Robotics has developed with machines with sophisticated age and identification capabilities. They are able to prevent restricted items to be sold to underage consumers.
Greenbox Robotic’s machines have a unique feature from online or dispensary purchases; quality assurance. For CBD product manufacturers to be able to place their products in these machines they must complete an application process.
This process allows the company to be able to eliminate and avoid products that claim health benefits without evidence along with low-quality CBD products.
You may be asking; why has 7-Eleven jumped on the CBD dispensing train? Kenny Monfort is the director of development for all Montfort Companies, of which the Boulder 7-Eleven is included, stated in an interview with Forbes that the company recognizes the benefit of utilizing innovative technology. Montfort believes the robots will, “add value, intrigue, and delight” at his 7-Eleven locations.
7-Eleven is joining the ranks of other US retailers like CVS, Urban Outfitters, Walgreens, and Kroger among others in selling CBD products. The convenience store is, however, the first to offer CBD products in an automated process.
The desire of Greenbox Robotics is simple, to make it easy for CBD consumers to discover, select, and purchase the CBD and cannabis products that best fit their wants or needs. Along these lines, the company is able to track what products have purchased the most which will enable them to better stock their machines in the future.
While only two 7-Eleven locations have implemented the Greenbox robots the pilot may encourage other locations to get on board. Convenience, quality, and affordability are three important characteristics for most consumer goods and CBD consumers certainly want those same qualities for their products. Greenbox robots are working to make each of these, and more, achievable.
