Leafreport – Courtney Quinn: Hi, my name is Courtney Quinn, I’m here with Leaf Report at the USA CBD Expo in Miami and I’m here with Sharon from SafiCBD, Can you tell us about the company and its history?
SafiCBD – DR. Sharon Perosa: Yeah, absolutely. So, my name is Dr. Sharon Perosa. I am one of the founders and owners of the company. I’m a psychologist and I brought my psychology background into the company. It’s really important for me to do a lot of research and education for myself, but also to education others so that they are better informed about everything that has to do with cannabis and a more holistic approach to treatment so they can better themselves, improve their well being, and their overall health.
Leafreport – Courtney Quinn: Very nice. Tell us a little bit about your manufacturing process.
SafiCBD – DR. Sharon Perosa: Okay. So, we’ve partnered up with a farm in Oregon. We have a good relationship and we know that our products are going to be coming from a consistence source of biomass. We also have our facility in Colorado. We have our own extraction machine. We have our own purification process and our own isolation machine. So, we make our own CDB powdered isolate, and we have it available for consumers to use in however they want to use it- manufacturing creams, edibles, cooking, however it benefits them.
Leafreport – Courtney Quinn: Wow. That’s great. How do you ensure the product’s quality, purity, and cleanliness.
SafiCBD – DR. Sharon Perosa: Well, all of our products are third-party tested and often what we do, is we go ahead and test them again for potency and purity.
Leafreport – Courtney Quinn: Very nice. Tell us about the range of products you have and the highlights of each product family.
SafiCBD – DR. Sharon Perosa: We have both isolate tinctures or oils, and we also have full spectrum tinctures or oils. We carry broad spectrum edibles, so that’s gummies and candy. We also carry full spectrum body creams and muscle creams. One of my favorites products is the isolate just because it doesn’t have any THC and it’s a good product for those that cannot use THC like educators or military, but for those that do want THC, we have full spectrum in both raw and purified. That means that you can either get it with all the benefits of the plant or in a more purified version. We also offer full spectrum creams, some with arnica and menthol, and body creams without the arnica and menthol, but with lavender and rosemary so that it smells great and can benefit you.
Leafreport – Courtney Quinn: That’s great. What would you say is your best selling product and why is it such a great product?
SafiCBD – DR. Sharon Perosa: I think our best selling product are the creams. They are topicals. I’ve had a lot of people tell me that it’s improved- It’s helped them improved with their pain, with arthritis, and they’re just easy to use. They smell really good. They smell great.
Leafreport – Courtney Quinn: Oh, very nice. What are your recommendations for the beginner user- someone who has heard about CBD and is wondering where to start, may be worried about legalities, efficacy, or safety issues?
SafiCBD – DR. Sharon Perosa: Okay. So, definitely number one- research, research, research. It’s easy if you go to my website because I’ve done a lot of the research for you, so I’m providing information that is very accurate and up to date. Second recommendation is talk to your doctor. A lot of doctors, medical doctors, may not know about the endo cannabinoid system and all the benefits of CBD. If they don’t, maybe you can help education them, but research, talk to your doctor, and then come to our website and take a look at our products and see if there’s anything that might benefit you.
Leafreport – Courtney Quinn: That’s great advice. Thank you. What sets you apart from other companies and brands, and what makes you unique?
SafiCBD – DR. Sharon Perosa: I definitely think that at [inaudible 00:03:57] CBD, we are setting ourselves apart with all the education and the research that we’re providing. It’s not only myself that has advanced learning, but we have employees that are also doctors and have doctorates. So, we have psychologists, health sciences, chemists, on board, and it’s just important for us to be as educated as possible.
Leafreport – Courtney Quinn: That’s great. Well, it was great talking with you, Sharon. Thanks for sharing with us.
SafiCBD – DR. Sharon Perosa: Thank you so much.
