Leafreport – Courtney Quinn: Hi, my name is Courtney Quinn, I’m here with Leaf Report at the USA CBD Expo in Miami. I have Wilson here from Envy CBD. Can you tell us a little bit about your company and its history?
EnvyCBD – Wilson Sun: Sure. So we are Envy CBD and we’ve been around actually just about a year ago. We’ve been formulating since 2013. We actually been in the electronic cigarette and the THC world and so we have a lot of farms in Colorado and we decided to hop on and basically be able to provide a product that could actually showcase real results.
Leafreport – Courtney Quinn: Very nice. Tell us a little bit about your manufacturing process. Where is your hemp grown? What farming methods do you use?
EnvyCBD – Wilson Sun: So our products are coming out from our fields in Colorado and our process and extraction process is a CO2 process. And so we extract by CO2, we use crude base oil and so for us, we then extract and then filter out through chromatography.
Leafreport – Courtney Quinn: Very nice. How do you ensure the products’ quality, purity and cleanliness? Yes, sorry. How do you ensure the products’ quality, purity, and cleanliness? What quality controls do you have in place?
EnvyCBD – Wilson Sun: So every batch that we do is lab tested. And so we have a QR code with all the reports. So we’re very transparent in terms of our process. All QC is done for us. We ensure that basically with the results… because every plant is different. You can’t expect that every plant is going to grow the same. So for us, we have to make sure that every batch is tested.
Leafreport – Courtney Quinn: Great. What is your transparency policy? Do you third party test your products?
EnvyCBD – Wilson Sun: Oh, we do. And we use CannaSafe.
Leafreport – Courtney Quinn: Very nice. Tell us about the range of products you have and the highlights of each product family.
EnvyCBD – Wilson Sun: So we use a array of products from tinctures to facial creams, body lotion, and so for us, we’re hitting the cosmetic industry as well as the fitness industry. And for us, we wanted to create something in a aerosol form because we know that that’s the fastest delivery method for CBD. But the thing is we didn’t want to create the negative connotation with smoking sensations because everyone’s doing disposables. For us, we wanted to do inhalers and that’s coming forth in the fourth quarter.
Leafreport – Courtney Quinn: Oh very nice. And are these some of your products right here?
EnvyCBD – Wilson Sun: Yes, they are. So this is the body lotion and we also have here the gummies and we have the tinctures.
Leafreport – Courtney Quinn: Great. What are your recommendations for the beginner user? Someone who has heard about CBD and is wondering where to start, is worried about legalities, efficacy or safety issues?
EnvyCBD – Wilson Sun: The biggest thing is just making sure that the brands that you’re working with, just very transparent in their information because we showcase everything with third party. I mean the amount of milligrams shown on label, if it’s 250 it’s 250 you’re getting. I mean, there’s no variance where you’re getting like 20% of what’s actually in here. So we’ll showcase that because for us, we want to be as transparent as possible because we want people to use our products and to understand that the results we’re trying to show, they’re real.
Leafreport – Courtney Quinn: That’s great. What sets you apart from the other companies and brands and what makes you unique?
EnvyCBD – Wilson Sun: I think the biggest thing for us is that, it’s just the educational process. Because for us, I mean, we want to be able to instigate the consumers, the retailers, and everyone down to change so that they know what they’re selling and what you’re consuming. Biggest thing is being transparent and that’s I think, what is needed in this industry, besides education.
Leafreport – Courtney Quinn: Definitely. Well, it was very nice meeting you, Wilson, and thank you for sharing with us today.
EnvyCBD – Wilson Sun: Thank you.
Leafreport – Courtney Quinn: Thank you.
