You may have noticed that all of the products and brands on our website come with a rating out of 100 points.

Leafeport is different from other CBD review sites because we use a standardized, measurable rating system instead of subjective criteria to review products and brands.

We rate every product and brand out of 100 points to provide unbiased, comprehensive, and easy-to-compare reviews.

Think of it this way: instead of us telling you that a CBD oil is good without any proof, we actually show and explain why a product is good (or not) based on measurable criteria, such as whether it contains accurate amounts of CBD, is made from organic hemp, or costs less than average.

To achieve this, we’ve put together a comprehensive database of over 150 CBD brands and more than 3000 products.

How it Works

Our database collects key information including CBD product prices, potencies, third-party lab test results, flavors, additional ingredients, hemp quality, extract types, product variety, and more.

The third-party lab test results published by the brands are the most important part. Performed by independent laboratories, these tests show the actual levels of CBD, THC, and other cannabinoids in a product, and also check for heavy metals, pesticides, and other potential contaminants.

Our statisticians collect and analyze these third-party results to check whether a product is safe and matches the company’s advertised CBD and THC content, purity testings and the cannabinoid profile. They also post a straightforward summary of these results for every product.

We then use all of this combined data to give each brand and product a standardized rating out of 100 points. Here’s how it works.

For every product, we score:

• Up to 40 points for quality assurance, which is measured by how well the third-party tests match the company’s claims for CBD content and contaminants
• Up to 20 points for extract type, with more points awarded to full-spectrum products
• Up to 20 points for hemp quality, with more points awarded to hemp that’s organic, certified, pesticide-free, and grown sustainably
• Up to 10 points for additional ingredients, with more points given to products that contain minor cannabinoids and other active ingredients, such as melatonin
• Up to 10 points for price, with more points for lower-cost products

Similarly, for every brand, we score:

• Up to 30 points for transparency, third-party testing accuracy, and reputation
• Up to 25 for hemp quality, scored in the same way as products
• Up to 18 points for product variety, with more points for more product categories
• Up to 15 points for customer experience, based on how easy it is to buy products, the shipping time and packaging, and the company’s customer service
• Up to 12 points for price, with more points for lower-cost products and discount offers

Thanks to this system, our ratings are completely unbiased and give you an objective look at the quality of a specific brand or product.
