The Bottom Line

Variety of ProductsIcon

Variety of Products

3.6

Swiss Cannalife CBD offers a targeted variety of premium quality full spectrum and broad spectrum CBD products that are available in tinctures, softgels, edibles, beverages, pet products, and topicals. Their products range from 25 mg to 5000 mg of total CBD, and are extracted using either a CO2 or a lipid extraction process. They are then formulated with easily digestible MCT oil and tested by an independent third party lab. Some products offered are organic.

Transparency & AccuracyIcon

Transparency & Accuracy

2.3

The accuracy variances for our Swiss Cannalife CBD products concerning potency are mixed, with three checked products testing below the acceptable 10% variance limit allowed and four products checked testing above that limit. Only one of seven ordered products checked passed purity testing for pesticides, solvents, microbials, and heavy metals, according to third party lab reports —which are available for customer access on the product pages and a centralized hub online. No purity test results were available for the other six products checked by us for this review.

Hemp QualityIcon

Hemp Quality

4.4

Their hemp is all sourced from U.S. farms in Vermont, and they offer premium full spectrum, broad spectrum, and organic entourage-complete CBD products that are promised by the company to be pesticide and solvent-free, as well as non-GMO. The Swiss Cannalife company also promises high quality, all natural ingredients in every product. Some products are organic, such as the edible chocolate and ground coffee, and still other products employ nano-emulsion and nano-encapsulation technologies during the extraction and formulation processes.

Price & DiscountsIcon

Price & Discounts

4.2

Prices range from $35.00 to $89.00 with an average price point of $.21, which is higher than average when compared to other brands in the market that are also GMP compliant. They offer discounts for newsletter sign-up, first responders, long-term disability clients, lower income consumers, veterans, and first-time buyers. Proof must be provided for discounts to apply in some cases. Shipping is a flat fee based on location, and products carry a 30 day money back satisfaction guarantee.

Customer ExperienceIcon

Customer Experience

4.7

Their website includes educational resources and customer-generated reviews which correspond to specific products offered. It is easy to navigate their website, with product pages providing comprehensive product information for each item, along with dosage information, independent lab results, and uses suggested by the company. There is also a comprehensive FAQ and a nano-technology link on the company homepage in the brand’s “Knowledge Center,” located under the “Learn” heading in the main menu or under the “Learn More” heading at the bottom of every page.

Pros: Cons:
  • Wide product catalog variety
  • Lab Results directly on each product page and centralized lab hub
  • Easy to maneuver and shop CBD product categories
  • High potency accuracy variances from labeled amount
  • Inadequate purity testing
  • No free shipping and higher than average pricing

Methodology

  • Read our methodology for more details about ranking and our review process.

    Data Collection and Rating

In our review process, we receive CBD products directly from the brand to personally review ourselves, so we can give you an accurate idea of the packaging, potency, taste, smell, feel, and overall experience of each product. We also discuss the company’s shipping and returns policy.
Another important step we take is reviewing each individual product for details such as the certificate of analysis to assess the CBD level and CBD variance, THC level, and contaminants.
We take all factors into account and give each CBD brand and each CBD product a score for each parameter.
All of the information we collect is generated into a concise, easy to read review and put into our extensive database. Keep in mind, our reviews are never intended to substitute or act as medical advice.

    Product DataBase

Our database collects key information for each product, including CBD product prices, potencies, third-party lab test results, flavors, additional ingredients, hemp quality, extract types, product variety, and more.
We then use all of this combined data to give each brand and product a standardized rating out of five points.

    Brand Review Process

There are many factors we consider when we review the quality, integrity and products of a CBD brand. We rate each brand on several factors including:

    • Transparency & accuracy. It is important that a CBD brand is forthcoming with who makes up their team, their mission, manufacturing process, and lab reports. Also, we look for the accuracy of the CBD and THC levels in the products’ lab reports.
    • Hemp quality. Hemp quality can be a deciding factor between a good CBD brand and a great CBD brand. We look for organic and sustainable farming methods with attention to detail in each manufacturing step.
    • The variety of products they offer. We like to see several CBD product types and flavors.
    • Customer service. It is essential that each CBD company has multiple ways to connect to customer service to ask questions. We look for speedy and complete responses.
    • Price and discounts. Competitive pricing is an important aspect of being a top-rated CBD brand. We also look for discount options and ways to save on your order.

    Market Reports

Another way Leafreport stands out from other CBD review websites is our evidence-based market reports. For each one, we purchase different types of CBD products and send them for independent lab testing to check whether their levels of CBD and other cannabinoids match the label.

    Information Updates

Writers and editors conduct our reviews and our database on an annual basis but continually make updates throughout the year. We maintain frequent contact with brands and highlight any changes in offerings.

    The Review Team

Our review team is made up of a wide chain of qualified CBD review writers, some with medical degrees, some with statistics backgrounds, others with ample experience in the CBD arena. Each and every one of our CBD reviews are approved by our medical reviewer before being published on our website to ensure all information is accurate.

    Conflicts of Interest

While Leafreport does have partnerships with many of the reviewed brands, we manage potential conflicts of interest by maintaining a wall between our content and business operations. This wall is designed to prevent our writers and the review process from being influenced or impacted by our business partnerships. This way, all reviews can provide an unbiased review that serves the interests of our users.

  • About the Company

Established in 2019, Swiss Cannalife is committed to their customers, as witnessed in their tagline: “Passion is making your life better. Because you deserve it,” and was founded by health and wellness professionals. The founders firmly believe in the “abundant benefits of CBD and Cannabinoids,” and they are dedicated to creating, extracting, and formulating premium products. According to their website, they craft their CBD offerings using special formulas designed with wellness in mind, and they offer some organic and THC-free options. Swiss Cannalife manufactures all of their products in a GMP-certified facility.

    Transparency

Independent CBD testing is a necessary quality and safety control tool to ensure that the labeled amounts of CBD and THC are identical to the contents of each final product a customer receives. Swiss Cannalife CBD has a centralized lab testing link on their company homepage under the “Lab Results” link at the bottom of every page online under the “Learn More” heading. All of the products in our Swiss Cannalife order were third party tested for CBD and THC potency. Purity tests for foreign contaminants such as heavy metals, microbials and mycotoxins were performed on only one checked product; however, standard purity test results for six of the ordered products checked were unavailable at this time.

    Accuracy

Using the corresponding product pages or the centralized lab testing hub, it was easy to match seven of the ordered products with the independent third party lab results for potency. There is no need to enter batch numbers at this time. As far as the highest accuracy variance in this order, the 750 mg Entourage tincture tested with 1032.6 total mg of CBD, which is a 37.68% accuracy variance which is over the acceptable 10% limit.

The lowest accuracy variance was found in the 150 mg Nano Drops tincture, which tested with 150 total mg of CBD. This is an accuracy variance of 0% and well below the 10% variance limit allowed. All full and broad spectrum products were confirmed by independent third party testing to contain less than the legal 0.3% limit of THC, or no THC was detected.

    Reputation

Swiss Cannalife CBD has several links on the main menu to “Partnership” opportunities, such as “Brand Influencers,” “Earn Money,” “Private Label,” and “Retail and Wholesale,” that attest to this brand’s extensive customer loyalty and trust. There are numerous customer reviews and feedback from current customers on the individual product pages and on the main company website. Swiss Cannalife is committed to their customers and offers many “Assistance Programs” to help buyers with accessibility and to continue to use the brand daily.

    Manufacturing Process

The Swiss Cannalife CBD company is a legal, authorized grower of premium U.S. hemp, sourced from farms in Vermont. Their hemp-derived, full and broad spectrum CBD products are extracted using either a CO2 or lipid extraction process before being formulated with easily digestible MCT oil as the carrier for maximum bioavailability. After formulation, the next step is independent third party CBD testing, which is an important safety and quality control measure utilized by Swiss Cannalife to ensure that the labeled potency of CBD and THC matches the contents.

They conduct independent potency lab testing for all of their products and post the available results on their website under the “Lab Results” link located on each product page and at the bottom of every page online.

Swiss Cannalife CBD offers premium quality CBD products that are available in full and broad spectrum tinctures, softgels, edibles, beverages, pet products, and topicals. Their products range from 25 mg to 5000 mg and are higher than average priced when compared to other brands, with an overall price point average of $.21 per mg of broad or full spectrum CBD.
