The Bottom Line

My review of Seabedee is good, but there is room for improvement. This company was founded with quality in mind, per their website, and they do publish the independent third party lab tested potency for each product directly under the “Lab Results” link on the main website. At this time, purity test reports are unavailable for most of the Seabedee products; however, if all purity tests were available, then this rating would improve.

They carry a wide range of full spectrum CBD products, from 10 mg up to 3000 mg, but with few potencies in between. Seabedee offers tinctures, topicals, capsules, gummies, pet treats, hand sanitizer, and bath bombs. No artificial ingredients are used in these organic Seabedee CBD products, which are crafted using organically grown and sustainably farmed hemp.

Their prices range from $14.95 up to $185.00, which equals an overall average price point of $.12 per mg of CBD. Their extra strength tinctures are priced at a low $.06 per mg average, and their overall prices are moderate when compared to other brands in the market. The accuracy variances for these Seabedee products potency varies, with two products testing below the 10% variance limit, and one product testing higher than the level allowed. Out of all products reviewed, only the Anxiety Blend Tincture was purity tested for residuals, solvents, pesticides, heavy metals, or other foreign contaminants, to the best of our knowledge.

Seabedee was established in 2018 in San Francisco, California by childhood friends Pete Stadniuk and Paul Clotar. They offer premium full spectrum non-GMO, organic CBD products that are sourced from licensed farms in Colorado.

According to their website, their company is dedicated to transparency, quality, and honesty. Seabedee is striving to stay “true to their roots,” by providing organic CBD products that their customers can trust and can safely use on a daily basis.

Transparency

Independent CBD testing is a vital quality and safety control measure to ensure that the labeled amounts of CBD and THC are identical to the contents of each final product a customer receives. All of the products in my Seabedee order were third party tested for the standard CBD and THC potency and terpenes.

Seabedee products reportedly undergo a rigorous three step testing process, which consists of making sure the hemp crop is free of contaminants, analyzing the CBD raw ingredients for purity, and testing every batch for potency and quality, according to the company. To the best of our knowledge, however, only one of these products was fully tested for the standard contaminants.

Online, they advertise heavily that none of their products are sold without rigorous independent third party lab reports. While they provide all pertinent CBD potency lab test results, Seabedee falls short at offering consumers access to their purity testing for contaminants in all products.

Accuracy

It was easy to match my products to the COA lab reports using the batch numbers on my Seabedee product labels and the scannable QR codes. As far as the lab results for the 5 mg pet bark bites, this product had 5.77 mg of CBD per serving (1 piece), This is more CBD in total than the 75 mg listed on the label, with 86.6 mg total CBD. This is over the acceptable 10% variance at 15.4%, but this product does show a reported level of 0% THC. There were no purity test results accessible, to the best of our knowledge.

The lab report for their batch of 100 mg lavender bath bombs had a 3.5% variance in CBD content, with 103.5 mg total of CBD. No purity results were posted at this time. The lab report for their 500 mg Calming Anxiety Blend tincture had a CBD variance of 8.8% with 544.2 mg of total CBD. Both products are below the acceptable 10% variance limit. All products in the order tested under the legal 0.3% THC limit with 0% detected. This product passed all purity testing for residuals, solvents, pesticides, and heavy metals.

There are clearly visible measuring marks on the dropper. They are formulated with MCT oil for easy digestion.

Seabedee directs users to shake tincture bottles thoroughly, measure out the preferred dose using the measuring marks, and put the tincture dose under the tongue. They further advise consumers to wait 30 to 60 seconds before normally swallowing. This product can also be used orally, or added to food or beverages, per the corresponding product pages.

Extra Strength Blend

This tincture is all natural and comes in two high potencies. Suggested uses by the company are to quickly relieve pain, reduce inflammation, and calm nerves, but we have not tested these outcomes for ourselves. It is offered in two flavors, and has less than 0.3% THC.

Recover Inflammation Blend

This tincture contains no artificial or synthetic ingredients. Suggested uses by the company are to quiet nerves, muscles, and joints, as well as to reduce inflammation, but these outcomes have not been tested. This product contains less than 0.3% THC.

According to the corresponding product page, in pre-clinical trials, their proprietary blends of lavender, eucalyptus, and jasmine essential oils have been shown to calm the nervous system and reduce anxiety, but we have not tested this for ourselves. Seabedee full spectrum, organic CBD pet Bark Bites are a proprietary blend that is pet safe for dogs and non-GMO. These are CO2 extracted, and are advertised as being alcohol free and derived from organically grown, full spectrum Colorado hemp. They are infused with raw organic coconut oil, or MCT oil, for better digestibility by pets.

Each package provides the recommended dosage for small, medium and large dogs. These treats are also grain free and free of harmful byproducts and preservatives. Suggested uses by the company are to improve pets’ overall quality of life by helping them keep calm in stressful moments, and to provide anti-inflammatory benefits that support mobility and joint comfort, but we have not tested any of these outcomes for ourselves.

CBD Pet Bark Bites, 75 mg, 5 mg each, 15 count review

These CO2 extracted pet edibles are dark tan to medium brown in color, with a soft chewy consistency. In size, they are slightly larger than a quarter. Dosage directions are included on the label for small, medium, and large dogs, dependent on weight, so serving sizes vary. CBD Peach Ring Gummies, 100 mg, 10 mg each, 10 count review

These CO2 extracted, full spectrum gummy edibles contain organic hemp derived CBD and gelatin, so they are not vegan. These gummies are, however, free of all dairy, gluten, GMO, and nuts. All natural pectin, corn syrup, and sugar is used for the sweet flavoring, but there are no artificial sweeteners. These are round rings in shape, and are bright yellow and red in color with 1 g of added granulated sugar on the outside. They are a juicy gummy product and tasted like fresh peaches, but were not overly sweet. They have a typical gummy consistency, but are a bit firmer. The recommended serving size is 1 gummy, with a maximum daily dose of 3 gummies.

CBD Capsules, 750 mg, 25 mg each, 30 count review

These full spectrum, CO2 extracted capsules have no soy, sugars, or artificial ingredients, and are made using non-GMO corn starch, according to the corresponding product page. They are a regular sized, traditional capsule that is white in color. The coating allows for easier swallowing and the recommended dosage is 1 to 2 capsules per day. They were all loosely packed, with no tackiness, and included a freshness pack with expiration date.

CBD Muscle and Joint Relief Cream, 500 mg, 3 fl oz review

This full spectrum CBD topical cream is white in color and smells strongly of menthol. After it undergoes a CO2 extraction process, this cream is formulated with MCT and sweet almond oils and blended with shea butter. It applied smoothly and easily, without any greasy residue. The added menthol gives your skin a cooling sensation during application and adds extra pain relief properties. Quite a few pumps were required, however, to sufficiently cover larger areas, but this potent cream did not need to be reapplied for several hours.
