The Bottom Line

Transparency & AccuracyIcon

Transparency & Accuracy

4.0

There is not a lot of information about who founded, or makes up Savage CBD. They are, however, transparent with their CBD sourcing and their quality control practices. They third-party test both their raw CBD extract as well as their products at multiple points to ensure it has maintained its potency and it’s free from contaminants. Overall, their CBD levels are fairly accurate, ranging from 6% to 12% in CBD variance. Currently, they are not BBB accredited, but have an A+ rating.

Hemp QualityIcon

Hemp Quality

4.4

Savage CBD partners with usa-based hemp farmers (and sometimes Europe) that extract using CO2. They only use CBD that has been tested for and passed for potency and contaminants.

Customer ExperienceIcon

Customer Experience

Savage CBD has multiple ways to contact their customer care team. However, we did not receive a response from our inquiry. Their shipping is always free, however, all sales are final.

Variety of ProductsIcon

Variety of Products

2.8

Savage CBD has a very extensive vape product line with multiple flavors. They have disposable vape pens, carts, and vape juice. They also have a variety of full spectrum tinctures, a gummy product, and topical products. At this time there are no capsules, softgels or pet products.

Price & DiscountsIcon

Price & Discounts

5.0

Savage CBD prices are some of the lowest in the industry. They have tinctures with prices between $0.02-$0.03 per mg of CBD. Compared to other brands, this is very well-priced. We often see tinctures priced between $0.08 to $0.12 per mg of CBD, therefore, Savage CBD is priced far below average. They also offer deals on bundles, a rewards program, and a subscription option. To learn more about how we compare prices for CBD, look at our pricing report

What sets Savage CBD apart from its competitors

Savage CBD stands out for their extensive Vape range. They also offer extremely potent CBD products at very reasonable prices.

Methodology

  • Read our methodology for more details about ranking and our review process.

    Data Collection and Rating

In our review process, we receive CBD products directly from the brand to personally review ourselves, so we can give you an accurate idea of the packaging, potency, taste, smell, feel, and overall experience of each product. We also discuss the company’s shipping and returns policy.
Another important step we take is reviewing each individual product for details such as the certificate of analysis to assess the CBD level and CBD variance, THC level, and contaminants.
We take all factors into account and give each CBD brand and each CBD product a score for each parameter.
All of the information we collect is generated into a concise, easy to read review and put into our extensive database. Keep in mind, our reviews are never intended to substitute or act as medical advice.

    Product DataBase

Our database collects key information for each product, including CBD product prices, potencies, third-party lab test results, flavors, additional ingredients, hemp quality, extract types, product variety, and more.
We then use all of this combined data to give each brand and product a standardized rating out of five points.

    Brand Review Process

There are many factors we consider when we review the quality, integrity and products of a CBD brand. We rate each brand on several factors including:

    • Transparency & accuracy. It is important that a CBD brand is forthcoming with who makes up their team, their mission, manufacturing process, and lab reports. Also, we look for the accuracy of the CBD and THC levels in the products’ lab reports.
    • Hemp quality. Hemp quality can be a deciding factor between a good CBD brand and a great CBD brand. We look for organic and sustainable farming methods with attention to detail in each manufacturing step.
    • The variety of products they offer. We like to see several CBD product types and flavors.
    • Customer service. It is essential that each CBD company has multiple ways to connect to customer service to ask questions. We look for speedy and complete responses.
    • Price and discounts. Competitive pricing is an important aspect of being a top-rated CBD brand. We also look for discount options and ways to save on your order.

    Market Reports

Another way Leafreport stands out from other CBD review websites is our evidence-based market reports. For each one, we purchase different types of CBD products and send them for independent lab testing to check whether their levels of CBD and other cannabinoids match the label.

    Information Updates

Writers and editors conduct our reviews and our database on an annual basis but continually make updates throughout the year. We maintain frequent contact with brands and highlight any changes in offerings.

    The Review Team

Our review team is made up of a wide chain of qualified CBD review writers, some with medical degrees, some with statistics backgrounds, others with ample experience in the CBD arena. Each and every one of our CBD reviews are approved by our medical reviewer before being published on our website to ensure all information is accurate.

    Conflicts of Interest

While Leafreport does have partnerships with many of the reviewed brands, we manage potential conflicts of interest by maintaining a wall between our content and business operations. This wall is designed to prevent our writers and the review process from being influenced or impacted by our business partnerships. This way, all reviews can provide an unbiased review that serves the interests of our users.

  • At Leafreport, we order and test the products ourselves

    About the Company

Savage CBD’s mission is to bring quality CBD to its customers at fair and affordable prices. There is a photo of the entire Savage CBD team, however there are no further details about the company’s founders or who the team members are. Overall, background information on the company is lacking.

Savage CBD does have an extensive FAQ page that answers simple questions about CBD, the company’s policies, and more. They also have a blog page that goes in-depth about the use of CBD and its benefits.

To contact the customer service team you can call their phone number during business hours, or email them. Plus they list their headquarters address which is located in Irvine, California.

As a part of our reputation check, we check BBB, FDA warnings, and more to see if there are any complaints or warnings about the brand. Currently, there are no FDA complaints. Savage CBD is not currently BBB accredited but has an A+ rating with no complaints.

Savage CBD tests their CBD extract for contaminants and potency as well as third-party tests for all products for potency and contaminants. You can find all lab reports on their lab report page or by scanning the QR code. The products’ CBD variance levels ranged from 6% to 13%. All THC was under 0.3%. About half of the products were tested for and passed for microbes, mycotoxins, solvents, pesticides, and heavy metals.

    Manufacturing Process

Savage CBD sources their CBD from suppliers that use hemp grown in Wisconsin, Oregon, Colorado (in some cases Europe) and CO2 extraction. It appears that they do not purchase and extract CBD themselves, but purchase CBD that has already been extracted from the hemp plants. They follow strict quality control measures and ensure they only purchase CBD that meets their standards. The first standard is that it is CO2 extracted. The second standard is that it has been tested for potency, solvents, heavy metals, and pesticides. Next, they incorporate CBD that has met the above criteria and integrate it into their products. Then, they retest the product for potency and contaminants. In addition, they test each batch of their product monthly to ensure the CBD potency is within their acceptable range, which is +/- 5% of what’s listed on the label. All of their third party lab reports are available on their website. Their end products include full-spectrum CBD or CBD isolate.

Savage CBD Cartridges & Vape Pens Overview

Savage CBD gummies come in a plastic sleeve with a resealable top. There are six pieces in total, each with 50 mg of full spectrum, CO2 extracted CBD. They are made with corn syrup, sugar, gelatin, natural and artificial flavors, as well as food dye. Because they contain gelatin, they are not vegan. There are no directions on the container, however these are to be eaten. The gummies themselves are shaped like gummy worms and are a variety of colors including blue, red, orange, yellow, and green. They have a light sugar coating on them and smell and taste just like gummy worms. There are no notable earthy undertones.

There is a QR code on the product, but no batch number. The QR code takes you to their general lab test page. There was one lab report for gummies which we evaluated. These results showed that there was 53.7 mg of CBD per gummy. This is 3.7mg more for a CBD variance of 7%. This is within the acceptable 10% CBD variance. The THC level is recorded as non-detectable, which is less than the allowable 0.3% limit. There are no results for contaminants. It is unclear if these results were for our product or not, since there is no batch number.

    Savage CBD FAQ

  • Is Savage CBD a good and reputable brand?
Savage CBD Has strict standards when it comes to sourcing their cbd. They only partner with companies that use CO2 extraction and third-party tests for potency and contaminants. Overall there is not a lot of information on the company team, however. To learn more about how to choose a high-quality brand read our guide.
  • Is Savage CBD products good for anxiety, pain or sleep disorders?
CBD has not been approved by the FDA to treat any medical condition, except for one product, Epidiolex, that was approved for treatment-resistant seizures. Some people find benefit in using CBD for sleep, pain, or anxiety. CBD may inhibit CB1 receptors at high concentrations and may activate CB1 receptors when used in combination with THC, which influence pain perception, stress levels and mood. Although CBD should never be used instead of prescribed medications by your doctor, it could be a beneficial adjunct for some.
  • Is Savage CBD FDA-Approved?
Currently, no CBD supplements are approved by the FDA. However, the FDA has approved one prescription CBD product for use in treatment resistance seizures associated with Lennox Gastaut syndrome, Dravet syndrome, or tuberous sclerosis complex for persons over the age of one year old.
  • Where can I Buy Savage CBD CBD Products?
You can purchase Savage CBD products from their website.
  • Does Savage CBD Grow Its Own Hemp?
Savage CBD does not own their own hemp farms. Instead they source their CBD from reputable companies that grow their hemp in Wisconsin, Oregon, Colorado, and in some cases Europe and extract with CO2. They only use CBD that has been third-party tested for contaminants and potency levels.
  • Does Savage CBD get you high?
CBD is a constituent found in the cannabis sativa plant family. All CBD products in the USA are sourced from the industrial hemp plant, which by definition, must contain less than 0.3% THC. THC is the psychoactive substance found in the cannabis plant family that makes you high. CBD on the other hand is not impairing and is non-euphoric, and therefore does not make you high. Keep in mind, full-spectrum CBD products can contain up to 0.3% THC.

Savage CBD does offer full-spectrum CBD, which contains up to 0.3% THC. At this level, the amount of delta 9 THC is too low to be psychoactive and get you high.

  • What is Savage CBD’s Shipping Policy?
All orders ship for free. They ship within the USA, but not to Washington, Idaho, or South Dakota
  • What is Savage CBD’s Return Policy?
Savage CBD does not allow any returns. All orders are final sale.
  • Is There THC In Savage CBD Products?
Savage CBD offers full-spectrum and CBD isolate products. Their isolate CBD products are THC-free and their full-spectrum CBD products contain less than 0.3% THC.
