Why you can trustlogo

  • Leafreport's mission is to provide accurate, objective, and valuable content for CBD, which is why we're transparent about our review process  and  how we rate products and brands. We may receive compensation. Here’s how we make money.
  • Our review is consumer-focused only and we do not check or take a stand regarding medical effects.
  • Statements regarding CBD products have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration.
  • Please advise your physician prior to each use of CBD.

The Bottom Line

One Farm is a charming CBD company anchored in a family operated Colorado farm. However, with three years under their belt, One Farm needs to run closer to their ideals to embody the ethos they want to. Their stated goals include transparency and making sure customers can trust they are consuming safe products, but One Farm fails to provide results of crucial tests on their website. Such action is a blow to their trustworthiness, but their staff does stay active and attentive online.
As purported by One Farm, their family farm is USDA approved, free from pesticides, and their extract is made with supercritical CO2 methods. Their third party lab results for potency are well organized, but they fail to provide all of the relevant tests for contaminants, which casts doubt on their methods.
The range of products offered by One Farm is not astounding, but it is special. Their Turmeric Topical is a niche product, as are their various flavors of tinctures including cinnamon, lemon, mint, and unflavored varieties. Boiling down to topicals, tinctures, and capsules, One Farm has a focused inventory, but a wide selection within their ingestible and topical products. However, at $0.08 per mg of CBD at the lowest, and above $0.25 per mg of CBD at times, One Farms products are among the more expensive products on the market.
For what they are, a family farm, One Farm is a leading company. As a national contender or as a medical or truly transparent brand, One Farm leaves much to be desired. An updated and more aggressively maintained lab results page would do them good, but until then this, brand misses the mark they set out to hit.

Methodology

  • Read our methodology for more details about ranking and our review process.

    Data Collection and Rating

In our review process, we receive CBD products directly from the brand to personally review ourselves, so we can give you an accurate idea of the packaging, potency, taste, smell, feel, and overall experience of each product. We also discuss the company’s shipping and returns policy.
Another important step we take is reviewing each individual product for details such as the certificate of analysis to assess the CBD level and CBD variance, THC level, and contaminants.
We take all factors into account and give each CBD brand and each CBD product a score for each parameter.
All of the information we collect is generated into a concise, easy to read review and put into our extensive database. Keep in mind, our reviews are never intended to substitute or act as medical advice.

    Product DataBase

Our database collects key information for each product, including CBD product prices, potencies, third-party lab test results, flavors, additional ingredients, hemp quality, extract types, product variety, and more.
We then use all of this combined data to give each brand and product a standardized rating out of five points.

    Brand Review Process

There are many factors we consider when we review the quality, integrity and products of a CBD brand. We rate each brand on several factors including:

    • Transparency & accuracy. It is important that a CBD brand is forthcoming with who makes up their team, their mission, manufacturing process, and lab reports. Also, we look for the accuracy of the CBD and THC levels in the products’ lab reports.
    • Hemp quality. Hemp quality can be a deciding factor between a good CBD brand and a great CBD brand. We look for organic and sustainable farming methods with attention to detail in each manufacturing step.
    • The variety of products they offer. We like to see several CBD product types and flavors.
    • Customer service. It is essential that each CBD company has multiple ways to connect to customer service to ask questions. We look for speedy and complete responses.
    • Price and discounts. Competitive pricing is an important aspect of being a top-rated CBD brand. We also look for discount options and ways to save on your order.

    Market Reports

Another way Leafreport stands out from other CBD review websites is our evidence-based market reports. For each one, we purchase different types of CBD products and send them for independent lab testing to check whether their levels of CBD and other cannabinoids match the label.

    Information Updates

Writers and editors conduct our reviews and our database on an annual basis but continually make updates throughout the year. We maintain frequent contact with brands and highlight any changes in offerings.

    The Review Team

Our review team is made up of a wide chain of qualified CBD review writers, some with medical degrees, some with statistics backgrounds, others with ample experience in the CBD arena. Each and every one of our CBD reviews are approved by our medical reviewer before being published on our website to ensure all information is accurate.

    Conflicts of Interest

While Leafreport does have partnerships with many of the reviewed brands, we manage potential conflicts of interest by maintaining a wall between our content and business operations. This wall is designed to prevent our writers and the review process from being influenced or impacted by our business partnerships. This way, all reviews can provide an unbiased review that serves the interests of our users.

  • About the Company

Setting up its name in the CBD industry, One Farm is a brand that aims to improve the transparency and trustworthiness of the market. While providing strong labeling with an easy to find batch information section and a useful supplemental facts section, they fail to provide all the relevant lab tests. Their products seem clean and well manufactured, but transparency requires all reports to be readily available.

    Transparency

One Farm is a somewhat opaquely presented brand, preferring to speak as a brand than be represented by a person. Although they lay out the ethos of the company, many of their practices do not mesh with their marketing. However, One Farm does try to be forthcoming with contact information, including an office number, email, and contact forum.

Honest about their full spectrum products, One Farm lays out adequate information on CBD and THC. They also explain the legal issues associated with THC and confirm that their practices ensure their products contain less than the legal limit. They also detail recommended dosages and consumption methods and provide third party lab results. From the location, growing methods, to their supercritical CO2 extraction methods, One Farm is transparent in their description of respectable manufacturing practices. They also readily offer information in their FAQ about drug tests, their 30 day refund policy, and how CBD survives in heat. They ship to most states within the United States, which is a somewhat limited range.

    Accuracy

One Farm provides some accurate batch specific lab results. Through their website, numbers printed on products lead to third party results. The transdermal cream is accurate within a milligram, providing 300mg per bottle as advertised. Their Pet CBD contained 282mg CBD per 30ml, an acceptable 6.2% variance from the label of 300mg of CBD. Both products tested well below the limit of 0.3% THC concentration allowed in CBD products.

Stumbling somewhat, the test provided for their Day Cream revealed 334 mg of CBD per bottle or a 10.9% difference from the label. This is above the acceptable 10% variance. The lab results for the Day Cream were provided under the name of the product and not through a batch number. Additionally, the batch number on the bottom of their Organic Hemp Extract did not link to a list of available lab results.

We were left without any lab results confirming the absence of harmful pathogens, heavy metals, or additives, One Farm needs to improve its lab testing program. Each product should have batch specific lab results confirming the product is safe for consumption. While some results are easy to find and conform to what is printed on the label, additional results and reports are needed.

    Reputation

One Farm by WAAYB is a rebranding of the original line of CBD products by WAAYB, released in 2017. For the last three years, WAAYB has been trying to provide safe, accurately dosed, and reputable products. Although they do provide USDA organic products and control their product from seed to sale, their failure to provide test results for hazardous materials prevents them from meeting their goal.

    Leafreport’s market reports score

Pet products report – One Farm received an «А» score in our pet products report where we tested 55 pet products in an independent lab.

    Manufacturing Process

Desiring to create a more ethical and transparent world, One Farm has crafted appropriate standards for themselves. Out in Colorado, they operate a family farm that is free from pesticides and other harmful chemicals. Additionally, their soil is free from toxins, so they should have no worries concerning heavy metals or other materials being introduced into their products. By running a USDA Certified Organic farm and producing certified products, One Farm moves toward presenting a high quality brand. All of this matters because hemp absorbs harmful materials from the soil it grows in. While this is good for the soil, such hemp is not desirable and can contain harmful materials rendering it unfit for human consumption.

As One Farm’s USDA organic label is featured prominently on the labeling, along with the supplemental facts, one would expect One Farm to do great with providing lab reports. However, this isn’t exactly the case. As discussed earlier, their transdermal cream and Pet CBD were tastefully labeled. A batch report on the bottom of the products easily leads to their lab reports online, where the transdermal cream was accurate down to a single digit, containing 300 mg as advertised, while the Pet CBD was within 6.2% variance from its label.

As for testing for metals and pathogens, One Farm chooses to spot check their products instead of testing every batch. They do this because they grow all of their own hemp and process it completely in house, thus nothing should change between different batches, and all of their products should be clean.

While this makes sense technically, third party lab reports are required for consumers to be able to truly trust producers. Otherwise there’s no way to truly verify each batch is safe to consume other than by putting faith in One Farm. Their products seem safe, and their manufacturing processes are solid, but labs can’t be skipped.

    One Farm Tinctures Overview

The family farm out of Colorado has proved fruitful, as One Farm offers a litany of different tinctures, topicals, and capsules. Ranging from low potency to 40 mg of CBD in a serving, their products meet almost all levels of demand, including for pets. Starting at 3.3mg per serving, their pet line of tinctures is an organic and reputable way to get started with medicating your pet. Either way, there’s a variety of products for those interested in tinctures, skincare, or softgels.

One Farm’s tinctures come in a variety of strengths, but through their manufacturing processes they have masterfully created a pleasant mixture. The mostly clear liquid has an herbal accent of greenish yellow, and it smells delightful. Due to price scaling, the higher dosages are a smarter buy, but all of their tinctures are well made.

Instead of different recipes, One Farm focused on potency, which results in consistent and effective softgels. These pills are powered by One Farm’s USDA Organic CBD Extract.

The 300mg Organic Hemp Extract by One Farm features a lightly floral cannabis scent. A slightly watery taste overpowers the cannabis flavor, although it does smell more potent when agitated. It is made of organic MCT coconut oil and full spectrum hemp extract. The texture is smooth and cool, a little thicker than a drink. Adults are recommended by One Farm to take one full dropper a day. The dropper is labeled with measurements. Additionally, tests had to be requested. The CBD content of the hemp extract had a 6.2% difference from the label. There were no metal, pathogen, or other tests available. However, at 0.04% THC, the extract was well within the legal limit.

The texture of One Farm’s Day Cream is a winner. It easily rubs into the skin, not leaving a watery or oily texture. The smell is pleasant, floral and citrine. Additionally, tests for the Day Cream also had to be requested. With solid packaging and CBD extracted using supercritical CO2,One Farm’s Day Cream is interesting. It includes 300mg of full spectrum hemp extract, CoQ10, saffron stem cells, and ginger root oil. Consumers are recommended to use two pumps of it a day by the Company. The Day Cream contained 321mg CBD, a 6.8% difference in CBD content from the label of 300mg and 0.04% THC. No tests for heavy metals or pathogens were available.

The 600mg Transdermal Cream has 585mg of CBD, or a 2.6% difference from the label. The Transdermal Cream is thick, hard to rub into the skin, and it has a clinical smell. Small amounts are needed, although the label says to use it as recommended by your doctor. Made from a liposomal base and a full spectrum hemp extract from One Farms’s family farm, this product tests well below the legal limit for THC. Tests for pathogens and pesticides are not performed because of One Farm’s in house production.

Nearly identical to One Farm’s Organic Hemp Extract, their pet line is also a yellow liquid made from organic MCT coconut oil and full spectrum hemp extract. Tests revealed the pet extract had 282mg CBD, a 6.2% variance from the 300mg stated on the label. The THC concentration is well below the legal limit.
