Transparency
Independent CBD testing is a necessary quality and safety control measure to ensure that the labeled amounts of CBD and THC are very close to the contents of each final product a customer receives. All of the products in my Nordic Oil order were third party tested for CBD and THC potency, but none were tested for purity due to their organic designation, according to the company.

Accuracy
Using each product’s corresponding product page, it was somewhat easy to match my products to the independent third party lab reports provided. As far as the highest accuracy variances in this order, the 600 mg full spectrum capsules tested with a 28.5% accuracy variance, which is above the acceptable 10% limit. Each capsule contained 12.85 mg of CBD, for a total of 771 total mg of CBD per bottle, according to the COA:
The lowest accuracy variance was found in the 500 mg full spectrum tincture, which tested at 496.2 total mg of CBD, or a mere .76% variance, which is far below the 10% limit allowed. All products were confirmed by third party testing to contain less than the legal 0.3% limit of THC; however, purity test reports were unavailable for most Nordic Oil products.
Several white label products manufactured in the UK do not have readily available lab reports for potency or purity. These reports were not provided even after repeatedly requesting them from UK customer service, so there’s ample room for improvement in the area of testing accuracy and transparency at Nordic Oil.

They claim to conduct independent potency lab testing for all of their products and post the available results online. At this time, however, comprehensive purity tests for the Nordic Oil product catalog are unavailable to consumers, as are potency test results for several of their products.
They offer premium quality organic, full spectrum CBD products that are available in tinctures, topicals, skin care, vitamins, capsules, and edible chewing gum. Their products range in potency from 5 mg to 2000 mg, and are higher priced than comparable premium organic brands, with an overall average price point of $.23 per mg of CBD.

Each product page on this user friendly website provides comprehensive product information for each item in that category, as well as ingredients, potencies, and suggested uses. There is an easy way to shop all products using the “All products” link located in the main menu, as seen here:
Nordic Oil’s customer support team is available for questions via email, online chat, messaging, and phone. Customer service was messaged online and emailed about the missing COA reports for 3 products in my order, but no written reply was ever received. When the Nordic Oil phone number was called, a live person answered and informed us that all the blue labeled products have a third party lab report on the main Nordic Oil website, located on each corresponding product page.
However, we were informed that all Nordic Oil white labeled CBD products are made in the U.K., and these particular COAs are only provided upon request. The U.K. based customer service team was emailed three times concerning the necessary third party lab results, and a reply was received after 10 business days, offering purity testing results only for the topical UK labeled eye cream:

While the potency for CBD and THC was independently tested for each product, purity testing for their organic products is unavailable for consumer access at this time, to the best of our knowledge.

This organic CO2 extracted full spectrum tincture is milky white in appearance, with a somewhat thick oil consistency. There are visible measuring marks on the dropper for precise dosing. The flavor is not overpowering when combined with a beverage, per the company’s serving suggestions, with no grassy or herbal aftertaste. Potency and purity tests were unavailable at this time, after repeatedly contacting customer service. Mani tincture further states on its company product page that “for best results, take 15 to 30 minutes before sleeping.”
CBD Tincture, 500 mg, 30 ml review
This organic CO2 extracted full spectrum tincture is light amber yellow in appearance, with a thinner viscosity than a typical oil. The company recommended serving size is 1 ml, and there are visible measuring marks on the dropper for precise dosing. Priced at $39.00, this tincture equals $.07 per mg of CBD. This product tested as containing 496.2 total mg of CBD, which is a mere .76% variance and under the 10% limit allowed. Less than .03% THC was detected, and purity tests were unavailable at this time.
CBD Capsules, 600 mg, 10 mg each, 60 count review
Like all of the other CBD products from Nordic Oil, these capsules are organic, natural, and non-GMO. These CO2 extracted capsules are formulated using MCT oil for maximum bioavailability. These full spectrum capsules are light amber in color and have a soft texture. Each capsule tested contained 12.85 mg of CBD per 10 mg labeled capsule, for a total of 771 mg total CBD per bottle and a 28.5% variance. A non detectable amount of THC was confirmed on the third party lab results, but no purity test reports were available, to the best of our knowledge.
Eyr Cream, 50 mg, 50 ml review
This ethanol extracted, full spectrum topical product is beige in color, with the viscosity of a traditional thick lotion, for smooth application. This organic product is recommended by the company for use on external skin only. It is blended with MCT oil for maximum absorption and bioavailability. While no independent third party potency tests were accessible at this time, this topical cream passed purity testing for microbes and pathogens, but no test reports for pesticides or heavy metals were shown. The liposomal, or fatty layered, structure of the Eyr cream enables optimal topical absorption of the active CBD ingredient into the skin, according to the company.
Lip Balm, 135 mg review
