Innovative Extracts is a veteran owned CBD company that is based in Portage, PA. They call themselves a seed to sale company since they own their own farms and each step of the growing, extraction, and manufacturing process is managed by them. The three owners are Andy Golden, Vince Golden, and Matt Sinosky. Hey began their company after using CBD personally, benefiting greatly, and wanting to bring high-quality, affordable CBD to the masses.
Their products are sold both online, and at two physical locations in Portage, PA and Johnstown, PA.
To contact the customer service team, there is a message box, email, and phone number as well as their physical addresses to all their shops’ locations. There is a short FAQ page that outlines details of their process, how CBD works, and other general questions.
As a part of our reputation check, we check BBB, FDA warnings, and more to see if there are any complaints or warnings about the brand. Currently, there are no FDA complaints about Innovative Extracts. They are not currently BBB accredited and do not currently have a score. Innovative Extracts tests their products at three stages: the raw hemp, the crude oil, and the final product. They post their results online however, some do not show contaminant testing. The results for our products show a CBD variance ranging from 3% for their heating muscle cream to 14% for their pain relief softgels. All products were under 0.3% THC.
Manufacturing Process
All the hemp used for Innovative Extracts’ products are grown organically on their farm, Golden Farms, in Pennsylvania. It is an indoor growing environment where they can control the temperature and light exposure for optimal growing conditions all year round. They have been growing hemp since 2019. They innovate their hemp strains to be genetically optimal through onsite testing and cross breeding of hemp to create the highest caliber product. Once their hemp is grown, it is extracted onsite at their FDA registered, GMP-compliant facility. They use hydrocarbon extraction to yield both full and broad-spectrum CBD.
All products are also manufactured onsite. Innovative Extracts has three lab test points in their process. The first is the raw hemp, the second is the crude oil after extraction, and the third is the final product. They test for potency, residual solvents, pesticides, and microbial contamination, however the contaminant testing is not posted on all of their online lab reports.

There is one capsule product from Innovative Extracts. They are made with 25mg CBD and 25mg CBG per capsule along with Acai Berry Extract, Curcumin C3 Complex, Bioperine, Glucosamine, and Chondroitin. They are in a bovine gelatin capsule and therefore not suitable for vegans.

They offer free shipping on orders over $50. All sales are final and they do not offer any refunds.
We received our products in a USPS priority mail shipping box. There was an Innovative Extracts sticker on the box, which did not say CBD, but was not 100% discreet. Inside, the products were wrapped in plastic bubble wrap.
We reached out to customer service through their online messaging system to ask about their extraction processes. We received a response in less than an hour which was comprehensive and polite.

Night Time Gummies Review
We received the night time CBD gummies. They come in a clear plastic bottle with a child-proof lid. Inside there are 30 gummies, each with 25mg of broad-spectrum, hydrocarbon extracted CBD and 5mg of melatonin. They are made with corn syrup, gelatin (not vegan-friendly) as well as natural and artificial colors and flavors. The directions are to take one gummy at night before bed. The gummies are a variety of colors such as purple, yellow, blue, red, and greed and shaped like small bears. They have a sweet and fruity smell and taste. There are no overpowering hemp undertones.
There is a batch number and QR code on the product. We located the lab result on the product page. The results showed there is 23.3mg of CBD per gummy, which is 1.7mg less than listed for a CBD variance of 7%. This is within the acceptable 10% CBD variance. The THC level is recorded as <0.24mg per gummy which is less than the allowable 0.3% limit. This sample was tested and passed for microbes and heavy metals.

The softgels are in a clear capsule and you can see the bright orange powder inside, likely due to the curcumin. There is no smell or taste to them.

The results showed there is 28.5mg of CBD per softgel which is 3.5mg more than listed for a CBD variance of 14%. This is above the acceptable 10% CBD variance. There is no detectable THC and this sample was not tested for contaminants.

Heating Muscle Cream Review
The heating muscle cream comes in a white plastic tub. The tub is 4oz and contains 1000mg of hydrocarbon extracted, full-spectrum CBD. It is made with magnesium, olive fruit oil, shea butter, witch hazel, peppermint, coconut oil, fragrance and other ingredients. The directions are to apply a small amount to the affected area and rub in. They recommend using this product along with their full-spectrum tinctures.
