Green Garden Gold was founded in 2013 with the mission of bringing high quality hemp products to consumers. They partner with experts to create hemp products that are grown under strict, pesticide free circumstances and developed by Ph.D. chemists.
There is very little information about who is behind the company and what their credentials are. However, they offer a fairly detailed FAQ page for consumers to learn about CBD, how to use it, and what to expect. Plus, their customer care team is easy to reach and is responsive.
Ther headquarters are in Carrollton, Texas, and their farms are in Colorado. They use organic and non-GMO processes to grow and create their hemp, however, they do not have a USDA organic certification. They offer broad spectrum, full spectrum, and isolate CBD products, which are all extracted using CO2.
They third party test for CBD and THC, however, they do not test for contaminant levels. When assigning the CBD variance, there is a wide range. We found some as low at 1% and others as high as 106%, and everything in between. In terms of accuracy, their CBD level control is lacking.
Overall, they have a robust product line, offering CBD oils for humans and pets, edibles for humans and pets, topicals, capsules, and CBG products. They don’t offer vape products at this time. In terms of price, their price per mg of CBD varies widely from $0.02 to $0.38 per mg. Their CBD oil products are priced between $0.02 to $0.14 per mg. This is a wide range. While the $0.02 is below average compared to other companies, $0.14 is above average. Many of their topical products are priced much higher than average.

In our review process, we receive CBD products directly from the brand to personally review ourselves, so we can give you an accurate idea of the packaging, potency, taste, smell, feel, and overall experience of each product. We also discuss the company’s shipping and returns policy.
Another important step we take is reviewing each individual product for details such as the certificate of analysis to assess the CBD level and CBD variance, THC level, and contaminants.
We take all factors into account and give each CBD brand and each CBD product a score for each parameter.
All of the information we collect is generated into a concise, easy to read review and put into our extensive database. Keep in mind, our reviews are never intended to substitute or act as medical advice.
Our database collects key information for each product, including CBD product prices, potencies, third-party lab test results, flavors, additional ingredients, hemp quality, extract types, product variety, and more.
We then use all of this combined data to give each brand and product a standardized rating out of five points.
There are many factors we consider when we review the quality, integrity and products of a CBD brand. We rate each brand on several factors including:
Another way Leafreport stands out from other CBD review websites is our evidence-based market reports. For each one, we purchase different types of CBD products and send them for independent lab testing to check whether their levels of CBD and other cannabinoids match the label.
Writers and editors conduct our reviews and our database on an annual basis but continually make updates throughout the year. We maintain frequent contact with brands and highlight any changes in offerings.
Our review team is made up of a wide chain of qualified CBD review writers, some with medical degrees, some with statistics backgrounds, others with ample experience in the CBD arena. Each and every one of our CBD reviews are approved by our medical reviewer before being published on our website to ensure all information is accurate.
While Leafreport does have partnerships with many of the reviewed brands, we manage potential conflicts of interest by maintaining a wall between our content and business operations. This wall is designed to prevent our writers and the review process from being influenced or impacted by our business partnerships. This way, all reviews can provide an unbiased review that serves the interests of our users.
Green Garden Gold has been in business since 2013. Their mission is to provide the finest CBD to their consumers by partnering with the highest caliber hemp farmers and manufacturers. They pride themselves on using rigorous scientific methods to guide their growing, processing, and third party testing to ensure each product they sell conforms to the highest standard. Their growing processes are said to be organic, however, they do not have a USDA Organic certification.
Their headquarters are located in Carrollton, Texas. If you need to reach customer service, there is a customer service hotline available 9am to 6pm CDT on weekdays. There is also a message form on their website. At this time, there is no email address listed or live chat option.
Green Garden Gold refers to their team as health conscious leaders, however, they do not provide any information on who makes up their team or their credentials. Overall, there is little to no information on who their expert partners are.
Their FAQ page offers a decent amount of general information about CBD, how it affects the body, and its use. However, there is no more in depth information on their manufacturing, growing, or extraction processes. In terms of shipping, Green Garden Gold ships their products the next business day, and you should receive your order within 2 to 4 business days. Plus, they offer a 30 day money back guarantee.
The product pages are fairly detailed and list the product type, size, price, type and amount of CBD, ingredients, and customer ratings. Each product batch is said to be tested by a third party lab to detect CBD and THC levels and contaminants, including heavy metals, microbes, solvents, and more.
We assessed the third party lab results for the REAL Terpenes: CALM-U tincture. The bottle has a QR code that connects you to the third party lab results. The results show that there is 518mg of CBD in the bottle, which is 18mg more than what is listed for a CBD variance of 4%. This variance is within the acceptable 10%. There is no detectable THC in this sample. Although they say that they test for contaminants on their website, they do not report the results on their certificate of analysis page.
All of Green Garden Gold’s hemp is grown on licensed farms in Colorado. They provide very limited information on their growing practices, their hemp selection process, and their extraction process. We reached out to customer service via email to provide us with more information.
They claim to use organic methods, non-GMO plants, and a proprietary production process. It should be noted that they do not have a USDA organic seal at this time. To extract CBD, they use CO2, which creates both broad spectrum and full spectrum CBD. All of their products are made in Texas by licensed compounding pharmacists.
Lastly, they state that they third party test their products for multiple parameters, including CBD, THC, solvents, pesticides, microbes, and heavy metals. However, if they do, in fact, test for contaminants, they do not include results of that testing on their reports.
We assessed the results for the Yummy Gummies we received. There is no QR code on the package, but there is a batch number and a direct link on the product page on the website. In addition, our package contained a print out of the third party lab results. The results showed that there is 27.5mg of CBD per gummy, which is 12.5mg more than listed. This means there is a CBD variance of 83%, well above the acceptable 10% cutoff. Also, these gummies contain 0.0008% THC, which is well below the 0.3% cutoff for THC. This sample was not tested for contaminants.

The products ship the next business day and will arrive in two days. We received ours in two days in dark green boxes with the Green Garden Gold logos on them. Although they are pretty to look at, they are not discrete packaging. Inside, the products are bubble wrapped, and there are cooling packs to prevent the products from overheating.
We reached out to the company via email to ask for more details about their manufacturing and extraction process, as it was not easily found on their website. They emailed us back one day later and provided a link to a short blog outlining their processes. They were helpful, their answer was comprehensive, and they responded in a timely manner.
We received both the 150mg and 1000mg CBD Infused Salve, which is made with coconut oil, beeswax, and a natural vanilla scent. The CBD is broad spectrum, and CO2 extracted.
The salve is packaged in a white plastic tub with a screw top. The label on the front lists the amount of CBD, size of the bottle (2 oz), ingredients, and direction for use. The directions are to apply twice daily as needed. Keep in mind, this use has not been verified by Leaf Report.
The salve itself is a beige-white color, and it is firm. It is about the consistency of beeswax, which means it takes deep pressure and a lot of rubbing to collect any product on your fingertips for application. The salve has a pleasant vanilla smell and rubs into the skin easily, leaving a silky finish.
There is a QR code on the label that can be scanned to access the third party lab results. Our package also included print out copies of the third party lab results. The results showed that for the 1000mg CBD Infused Salve, there is 1120mg of CBD, which is 120mg more than listed for a CBD variance of 12%. This is a bit higher than the acceptable 10% CBD variance.
In the 150mg CBD Infused Salve, there is 309mg of CBD, which is 159mg more than listed for a CBD variance of 106%. This is much higher than the acceptable 10%. There is no detectable THC in either sample. They did not test for contaminants for either product.
We received the Smooth™ CBD Facial Serum, which comes in a cardboard box. The box lists the amount of CBD (300mg), size (1oz), directions for use, and ingredients. This cream is made using a glycerin base, with oat extract and avocado oil, rice bran oil, and sesame oil. It is intended for topical use, twice per day. This use has not been verified by us. The CBD is broad spectrum, and CO2 extracted.
The cream is contained in a hard plastic bottle with a twist to open pump lid. The beige colored cream dispenses easily from the pump and has a very thin consistency. It absorbs into the skin almost immediately and leaves almost no residue. There is no smell to the cream.
There is a QR code on the label that can be scanned to access the third party lab results. There is also a print out of the third party lab results in our package. The results showed that there is 303mg of CBD, which is 3mg more than listed for a CBD variance of 1%. This is within the acceptable 10% CBD variance. There is no detectable THC in this sample. They did not test for contaminants.
We received a bottle of the REAL Terpenes: CALM-U, which is contained in a blue glass bottle with a dropper top. The label indicates there is 500mg of broad spectrum CBD (16mg/ml) of CBD in the 30ml bottle and 0% THC. It also notes the strain of hemp is Indica. They use CO2 extraction methods. The ingredient list includes MCT oil as well as proprietary terpenes. The directions on the bottle suggest using 1 to 2 droppers twice per day, or as desired, however, this use has not been verified by us.
The oil inside is completely clear and has the consistency of water. It smells and tastes of lemon with pine undertones.
The bottle has a QR code that can be scanned to access the third party lab results. The results show that there is 518mg of CBD in the bottle, which is 18mg more than what is listed for a CBD variance of 4%. This variance is within the acceptable 10%. There is no detectable THC in this sample. They did not test for contaminants.
We received the Full Spectrum CBD Softgel Capsules in the 30 count bottle. The bottle is white and plastic, with a screw top (non-childproof). The label indicates there is 30mg of full spectrum, CO2 extracted CBD per soft gel, and therefore 900mg of CBD total.
The capsules are made with bovine gelatin which is not vegan friendly and MCT oil. The label says the softgels are organic, however there is no USDA organic seal. The directions for use, which have not been verified by us, are to take 1 to 2 capsules as needed. The capsules are smooth, firm, and are dark brown in color. They do not have any smell or taste.
There is a QR code on the label that can be scanned to access the third party lab results. Our package also included a print out of the third party lab results. The results show there is 25.6mg of CBD per capsule, which is 4.4mg less than listed. This means the CBD variance is 15%. There is 0.21% THC, which is below the 0.3% THC allowance. They did not test for contaminants.
The Doggy Be Good™ CBD Oil comes in a white opaque glass bottle with a white dropper lid. The label does not list the type or amount of CBD in the bottle. The website states that the CBD is broad spectrum CO2 extracted, and there is 180mg of CBD per bottle. It should be noted that not knowing the CBD potency can make dosing your pet appropriately a challenge.
This product is made with MCT oil, and it is unflavored. The oil is clear, colorless, and odorless. It is the same consistency as water and drops easily from the dropper lid.
The QR code on the bottle allows you to access the third party lab results. Our package also included a copy of the results, which showed there is 183mg of CBD per bottle. This is 4mg more than listed for a CBD variance of 2%. There is no detectable THC in this sample. They did not test for contaminants.
The Doggy Be Good™ CBD Joint Formula Treats come in a thick plastic bag with a releasable top. The package indicates that there are 2mg of CBD per treat and 40 treats total. The CBD is broad spectrum, and CO2 extracted. The treats are made with sulfonyl glucosamine, methyl methane, chondroitin sulfate, sodium hyaluronic acid, cheese powder, and beef.
There are directions on the back of the package concerning how many treats to feed your dog based on its weight. We have not verified these directions. The treats are in the shape of a bone and about an inch in length. They smell of beef and cheese and are soft and easily break apart with some force.
The package has a QR code to access the third party lab results. The results show that there are 2.1mg of CBD per treat, 0.1mg more than labeled, for a CBD variance of 5%. This is within the acceptable 10%. There is no detectable THC in this sample. They did not test for contaminants.
The Yummy Gummies from Green Garden Gold come in a stiff plastic bag with a releasable top. The label lists the amount of CBD (360mg/15mg per gummy), the number of gummies (24), and ingredients. There are no directions for use, and they do not specify on the label what type of CBD it contains. These gummies are made with corn syrup, sugar, gelatin so they are not vegan friendly, and natural flavors.
Although it is not printed on the label, the CBD is broad spectrum, and CO2 extracted. The gummies are supplied in a variety of colors and are shaped like bears. They have a sweet, fruity flavor and are quite chewy.
There is no QR code, but there is a batch number. Our package contained a print out of the third party lab results, which showed that there is 27.5mg of CBD per gummy. This is 12.5mg more than listed, for a CBD variance of 83%, well above the acceptable 10% cutoff. Also, these gummies contain 0.0008% THC, which is well below the 0.3% cutoff for THC. They are made with corn syrup, sugar, gelatin which is not vegan friendly, and natural flavors. The ingredients are listed on the clear plastic bottle the gummies are packaged in. There is a childproof top on the bottle.
The gummies are supplied in a variety of colors and have a mild fruit taste. They are shaped like bears and are quite chewy.
The QR code on the bottle allows you to access the third party lab results. Our package also included a copy of the results, which showed there is 16.7mg of CBG per gummy, which is 1.7mg more than listed for a CBG variance of 11%. This is outside the acceptable 10% variance. There is no detectable THC in this sample. They did not test for contaminants.
