Manufacturing Process
4 Corners Cannabis starts their CBD process by selectively breeding non-GMO hemp plants to create CBD-rich strains. They note that many other companies use fiber-rich strains that were originally intended for textile-making. Their farms are located onsite in Colorado, USA and all their hemp is grown in a highly controlled and monitored environment. They grow their hemp organically and biodynamically by starting the growing process indoors. They do this to temperature-control the growing process to create the optimal growing conditions. The pH of their soil is regulated and only organic growing mediums are used.
To extract CBD, they use USDA-organic, food-grade cane sugar derived ethanol, which extracts not only CBD, but preserves the terpenes and flavonoid content of the hemp plant as well. This extraction medium is a safe choice. Although the vast majority of the ethanol is removed, since it is food-grade alcohol, it is considered safe for human consumption. All extraction is performed by trained and qualified chemists. This extraction method yields a CBD extract known and complete spectrum, which is similar to full-spectrum, but also contains terpenes and other constituents of the hemp plant for added synergistic effect.
