Why you can trustlogo

  • Leafreport's mission is to provide accurate, objective, and valuable content for CBD, which is why we're transparent about our review process  and  how we rate products and brands. We may receive compensation. Here’s how we make money.
  • Our review is consumer-focused only and we do not check or take a stand regarding medical effects.
  • Statements regarding CBD products have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration.
  • Please advise your physician prior to each use of CBD.

The Bottom Line

In 2017, FAB CBD made its debut. The CBD brand was founded by a team of authentic ‘fitness junkies’ and ‘health nuts’ who had one goal; to help people avoid over the counter medications which are often harmful. Instead, they wanted their customers to try natural plant based cannabidiol (CBD) and other cannabinoids found in the hemp plant. The team at FAB CBD brings over 25 years of combined experience in the health, fitness, supplement, and pharmaceutical industry. They have managed to develop an impressive line of CBD oil products. Their price per milligram works out to an average of $0.07 to $0.13 which is in the low to moderate range for CBD products and is quite affordable.

FAB CBD uses only hemp grown organically in Colorado fields. The extraction process utilizes CO2 to ensure solvent free products. Most of their items are full spectrum so the products are brimming with cannabinoids and terpenes. The tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) level is kept at less than 0.3 percent. They do have CBD isolate products such as their Chews which are free of THC and other cannabinoids. The isolate contains CBD at a purity of 99 percent or more.

All the products undergo extensive third party laboratory testing with ProVerde Laboratories. They regularly update the website to reflect the most recent lab results. Without a doubt, the transparency offered by FAB CBD is impressive and not commonly encountered in many other brands. In our opinion, their informative site, lab testing, dedication to quality, and honesty all combine to place FAB CBD at the top of the industry.

Methodology

  • Read our methodology for more details about ranking and our review process.

    Data Collection and Rating

In our review process, we receive CBD products directly from the brand to personally review ourselves, so we can give you an accurate idea of the packaging, potency, taste, smell, feel, and overall experience of each product. We also discuss the company’s shipping and returns policy.
Another important step we take is reviewing each individual product for details such as the certificate of analysis to assess the CBD level and CBD variance, THC level, and contaminants.
We take all factors into account and give each CBD brand and each CBD product a score for each parameter.
All of the information we collect is generated into a concise, easy to read review and put into our extensive database. Keep in mind, our reviews are never intended to substitute or act as medical advice.

    Product DataBase

Our database collects key information for each product, including CBD product prices, potencies, third-party lab test results, flavors, additional ingredients, hemp quality, extract types, product variety, and more.
We then use all of this combined data to give each brand and product a standardized rating out of five points.

    Brand Review Process

There are many factors we consider when we review the quality, integrity and products of a CBD brand. We rate each brand on several factors including:

    • Transparency & accuracy. It is important that a CBD brand is forthcoming with who makes up their team, their mission, manufacturing process, and lab reports. Also, we look for the accuracy of the CBD and THC levels in the products’ lab reports.
    • Hemp quality. Hemp quality can be a deciding factor between a good CBD brand and a great CBD brand. We look for organic and sustainable farming methods with attention to detail in each manufacturing step.
    • The variety of products they offer. We like to see several CBD product types and flavors.
    • Customer service. It is essential that each CBD company has multiple ways to connect to customer service to ask questions. We look for speedy and complete responses.
    • Price and discounts. Competitive pricing is an important aspect of being a top-rated CBD brand. We also look for discount options and ways to save on your order.

    Market Reports

Another way Leafreport stands out from other CBD review websites is our evidence-based market reports. For each one, we purchase different types of CBD products and send them for independent lab testing to check whether their levels of CBD and other cannabinoids match the label.

    Information Updates

Writers and editors conduct our reviews and our database on an annual basis but continually make updates throughout the year. We maintain frequent contact with brands and highlight any changes in offerings.

    The Review Team

Our review team is made up of a wide chain of qualified CBD review writers, some with medical degrees, some with statistics backgrounds, others with ample experience in the CBD arena. Each and every one of our CBD reviews are approved by our medical reviewer before being published on our website to ensure all information is accurate.

    Conflicts of Interest

While Leafreport does have partnerships with many of the reviewed brands, we manage potential conflicts of interest by maintaining a wall between our content and business operations. This wall is designed to prevent our writers and the review process from being influenced or impacted by our business partnerships. This way, all reviews can provide an unbiased review that serves the interests of our users.

  • About the Company

FAB CBD is located in Tampa, Florida. However, all the hemp that goes into their products is garnered from Colorado fields. The company was founded in 2017 by a team of health fanatics. At its inception, the goal of the team was to offer pure CBD products to meet the needs of their customers. They strive to help people learn the natural benefits of CBD versus often harmful over the counter medications. Their website is loaded with information that clearly shows their dedication to CBD and their commitment to helping educate their customers.

Although they are a relatively new player in the CBD marketplace, FAB CBD is making a mark. They are increasing in popularity due in large part to their transparency. Their online lab results are valued by their customers and help to reinforce the brand’s respected name.

FAB CBD uses only CO2 extraction to guarantee a truly solvent free product. Their products undergo third party laboratory testing with Pro Verde labs. The recent batch results are posted online. Products have no QR codes so to obtain test results for batches not posted online you must contact the company.

All of the batches show passing levels for pesticides and the analysis provided also reveals cannabinoid concentrations.

The labels on FAB CBD products are easy to read. They offer supplemental facts, possible precautions, and dosage suggestions. Sadly, we cannot compare the exact batch lab results to our specific batch of products because the batch numbers do not match.

Depending on the product, the amount of CBD per serving does vary. However, they state the amount on their website and for more precise CBD content percentages you can check out the lab reports.

On FAB CBD’s website, you’ll find recommended dosages for each of the products that they sell. Also, there are consumption methods listed for each item.

Overall, the labels on their products are very helpful to the user. Also, the website is laid out nicely. Each product has dosage and use suggestions. There is vital information on the site that users will find helpful.

    Manufacturing Process

Although FAB CBD is in Tampa, Florida, they only use organic hemp grown in Colorado fields. After the hemp is harvested, it is processed using CO2 extraction. CO2 extraction leaves no solvents and renders a completely pure oil.

All the products offered by FAB CBD undergoes extensive third-party laboratory testing at ProVerde Laboratories. The results are posted online and updated frequently. They can easily be located under, ‘Lab Reports.’ However, it should be noted that the lab reports are for the most recent batch tested, so actual individual lab reports are not available. Only batch reports are posted to the website. The most recent report for FAB CBD oil that we have reviewed clearly shows that there was no THC found and the CBD content was acceptable. The batch showed no trace of pesticides except Daminozide which was found at 10.00 ppm which is within the required 10 limit to pass. Heavy metal content was not tested. We also took a look at the lab reports for FAB CBD Chews. The CBD chews showed a slightly higher level of CBD at 25.75 mg per chew when compared to the 25mg listed on the bottle of chews. This is only a 3% deviation and well inside the acceptable 10% limit. A high level of Daminozide was also found within the chews but the pesticide content still remained within the acceptable limits.

We wanted to compare the lab results to the exact batch number but we were unable to obtain the exact lab results. I called customer service who proved to be evasive. They advised me to check their website to see their most recent batch results. The website did not offer past results.

The representative appeared knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. I did not email the company or speak to them via Facebook chat. I contacted customer service a second time to ask about my products’ batch lab test results. The most recent batch results did not match the product batch numbers. However, the representative only told me to look at the current results to get an idea and did not direct me to the past results to match with my actual products.

A full spectrum oil, FAB CBD Mint 1200mg oil has no plant like flavor. The golden oil is clear and bright. The mint flavoring nicely masks the oil’s plant like terpene taste and makes it very palatable. You can store this CBD oil at room temperature or keep it in the refrigerator. It will maintain freshness for up to 12 months after you open it.

On the label, they suggest filling the dropper half full and taking the dosage once or twice per day as needed. The labeling went into considerable depth. It provides suggested dosing, supplemental information, quantity of CBD, and precautions.
